"I write to congratulate you on this occasion on the initiative taken with regard to the launching the Science Tv Channel. 

The popularization of Science is a need of the hour to promote and foster Science in Sri Lanka. There are many dedicated Scientists working hard in Sri Lanka with limited resources. Their outstanding pioneering work is most often confined to international journals and are not communicated to the general public of our country due to the lack of opportunity to do so. Therefore, I believe the Science Tv Channel  will play a very important role in taking the Science to the people and thereby benefiting the community. This will also be a source of encouragement for us as Scientists. 

I  take this opportunity to wish the Science Tv Channel  every success."
